About Reed…

Reed is the largest family-owned recruitment business globally. Through over 60 years of innovation and organic growth, we now operate across seven countries, including almost every United Kingdom region, and we’re not stopping there.

Our focus is on progress (possibility, improvement and moving forward); it’s as applicable for our clients and candidates as for ourselves. We believe in a high trust, high-performance culture. We ask questions, we innovate, and we react with speed.

This is all part of our entrepreneurial culture and underlines how we approach any challenge and achieve our purpose of ‘improving lives through work’.

We are serious about what we do and about the careers of our co-members, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like to have fun too.

Throughout the year, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in company events, high achievers away days, activities from our inclusion & belonging and wellbeing calendars, as well as being able to give back to society even more through our Big Give campaigns and localised charity fundraisers. See for yourself by checking out our Rewards section and our Reed Instagram.

In 2019 we launched the Digital Workplace, which enables co-members to connect, communicate and collaborate in real-time, work on the go, and access key data and files whilst on the move. In addition, every co-member is provided with a Surface Go tablet, utilising the very best in technology from our Microsoft 365 apps.

At Reed we want to attract and retain the best talent in the sector, which is why we are constantly adapting, and adding to our roster of rewards and benefits for all co-members.

For Recruitment Consultants, 2021 sees the introduction of several new and exciting rewards for top performers, including exclusive events and days out, holidays, cars and more… All this in addition to our generous commission structures and salary increments from structured Career Development Frameworks.

For all co-members we offer workplace benefits that we believe to be some of the best in our sector, including: a generous holiday allowance (plus options to transfer / sell days), paid sabbaticals after 5 years’ service, Cycle to Work Scheme, health cash plan options,  moving house support, and funding for professional and personal qualifications.

For more information about what’s on offer, check our Rewards and Benefits page, or contact us for a confidential, no-strings chat.

One of the things we never tire hearing from our co-members is that the training at Reed is second-to-none.

Whether you are an experienced consultant wanting to develop your management skills, or a school-leaver or graduate starting your first full-time job; Reed’s dedicated in-house Learning & Development teams are here to help you take that next step in your career.

For new starters, Reed offers a range of emerging career options, including on-the-job training and qualifications through our award-winning Apprenticeship scheme – Reed were even the first UK employer to offer apprenticeship qualifications in Resourcing. For university students we offer an Undergraduate Placement year and an (also award-winning) Graduate Scheme, which spans 3 years and options to take up roles across all Reed companies.

For current or aspiring managers, we have our sector-renowned Management Academy, typically delivered at our beautiful manor house in the Cotswolds, covering subjects from office budgeting and forecasting to conflict management.

All co-members also have the chance to apply for qualification funding, whether that be professional sponsorship or to develop a skill through our Personal Development Fund.
