How we reward our co-members at our annual Golden Ticket event and more.

Our company purpose is “Improving lives through work”. These are not just words cooked up round a board room table, they truly mean something to the people that work here. This purpose applies not only to our customers, but also to our co-members, who work tirelessly to provide the best service possible.

To show our appreciation and in recognition of our co-members dedication to delivering for our customers and providing a world class service, we’re proud of our award-winning, innovative, reward and recognition schemes, that can offer life-changing experiences and amazing prizes.  

Earlier this year, Reed was awarded “Best Motivation or Recognition Scheme” at the Employee Benefits Awards.  The judges noted our commitment to ensuring our reward schemes align with our company purpose of improving lives through work and our company values, most notably, of working together. Through our Thrive and R1 reward schemes, co-members earn holiday vouchers to design a bespoke holiday with loved ones, enjoy a Christmas bonus, and unlock additional benefits of their choice, such as private healthcare.

On receiving the reward, Chris Brindley Head of Reward said –

I am really pleased that our efforts to continue ensuring Reed is a destination employer in the recruitment industry has been recognised, but we won’t stop here. In just the last few months we were the first recruitment company to launch an electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme and we have just removed the cap from our cycle to work scheme. The grand prize winner!

One of the highlights of our reward schemes is the Golden Ticket live event, which is often referred to as the best day in the Reed calendar. The scheme awards tickets on a monthly basis to top performers which are then entered into a prize draw at the end of the year. 

The Golden Ticket event is a celebration of the achievements and successes of Reed’s co-members from across the UK. It’s a chance for them to come together, network, have fun, and win some incredible rewards. 

Members of our senior leadership were despatched around the country armed with over-sized cheques, trying to hide in toilets, bushes and office receptions ready to pounce on the unexpected recipient of a prize. The atmosphere was electric as co-members cheered and applauded for each of the lucky, and deserving, winners. The camaraderie shown at Reed, we’ve been told, is unique and the Golden Ticket event always highlights one of our key values of working together.  

The grand prize winner was Michelle Topley, a recruiter from our Norwich office. She was overjoyed when she heard her name being called out and received the keys to her new Tesla Model 3 from Ian Nicholas (Global MD). Michelle has seen her career flourish at Reed, with multiple changes in role and her making a success of each of them.

The Golden Ticket event was a huge success and a memorable experience for all the co-members who attended. It demonstrated how Reed values its co-members and how we foster a culture of recognition, appreciation, and fun. We cannot wait to do it all again next year!
