Reed is seeking an experienced Applications Architect to join its successful, dynamic and experienced in-house IT team.
The Applications Architect role is an exciting new full-time position that will be responsible for driving the design and scalability of a diverse portfolio of internal and external systems for the UKs largest family owned recruitment agency.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Architecture, you will focus on designing and delivering stable and scalable solutions that meet the company’s objectives whilst working with various other technical teams to realise those objectives.
The successful candidate will have a passion for technology and experience from a wide range of skills, combined with experience of working alongside delivery teams in an Agile environment.
Comfortable working an environment centred on Java and Oracle for its core technologies initially, but with a need to rapidly expand into new design areas, languages, and technologies in line with company growth and priorities, such as cloud expansion and opportunities for improvements, to DevOps processes.
The role will provide technical leadership and coaching, on applications design aspects to delivery teams, spanning business analysis, development, quality assurance and infrastructure deployment, promoting inclusive and collaborative decision making wherever possible.
A background or understanding in a recruitment or HR services space is preferable as the role will require the candidate to gain a solid grounding in terminology, processes, and constraints of the space to be truly successful.
