Team Manager

We are recruiting for a Team Manager to join our specialist recruitment team who support the Royal Mail across the UK.  

  • Role: Recruitment Team Manager  
  • Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) + £3,000 car allowance
  • Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Location: Although your main office will be in Brackmills, Northampton (free parking), this role will require travel to our Royal Mail sites in the UK. For 6/7 months a year, you will travel to the sites in Milton Keynes, Atherstone, Daventry & Northampton. Between September – January, you will also require to travel to our other sites including Wakefield, Hounslow, Bristol, Warrington, Plymouth.

 

The Role?

Reed have partnered with the Royal Mail on their staffing and recruitment for nearly 10 years, this partnership is called Angard Staffing. We help supply temporary, contract and permanent workers to join Royal Mail across the UK. We operate in a variety of different sites, however Reed’s main recruitment delivery team are based in our Head office in Brackmills, Northampton.  We also provide team members (Onsite Executives) who are based on site with the Royal Mail, supporting on the account management, delivery and coordinating the recruitment. During the build up to Christmas, we increase the volume of our teams based on the Royal Mail sites across the UK, to support with the Christmas drive.

As a Team Manager, you will be supporting the day to day running of the teams onsite with the Royal Mail, with the Onsite Executives reporting directly into you. You will be managing 3 or 4 main sites in the quieter periods (around 6/7 months a year), when it gets busier, you will be managing and travelling to circa 9/10 sites across the UK. Any travel we will of course reimburse your travel costs.

With the Onsite Executives reporting directly to you, you will be supporting, coaching and developing relationships with them, often on a remote basis. You will be conducting reviews, developing your teams skills and confidence. Ideally we will also require you to travel to the sites to meet with them as much as possible. In addition, you will also be supporting with the client relationships onsite, handling any queries and escalations and ensuring that we deliver on our KPI’s, and recruitment numbers. It will require you to have excellent stakeholder management and the ability to build strong working relationships.

When you’re not out traveling to the sites, you will be based in our brand new office in Brackmills, Northampton.

Who would suit the role?

We are ideally looking for candidates who have either experience of working in recruitment (ideally in a fast paced recruitment environment, i.e. logistics or industrial) or in a client facing role. You must be happy to travel, as this is expected extensively in the role. You don’t necessary need management experience (although this will help), you should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coach/guide and develop team members remotely. Candidates must be a driver and have access to their own vehicle.
