Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Reed.co.uk is looking for a Senior SDET to join their established team based in Holborn, Central London.


We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Senior SDET with a real passion for the latest technologies. You’ll help to introduce & implement modern test practices with CI/CD. The successful candidate will need web test automation experience and will work closely with teams to ensure good test coverage.

The role will involve:

  • Web test automation (Cypress,Webdriverio etc..)
  • Advocate and lead best testing approaches to embed it into teams
  • API test automation (Cypress & others)
  • Configuring CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Hands on testability improvements on the software
  • Improving the way data is generated for test automation
  • Working really closely with Software Engineers
  • Actively participating in Agile ceremonies
  • Helping teams with TDD & BDD
  • Sharing learnings and experience with other engineers
  • Reviewing application architectures, pair programming & code reviews to improve testability
  • Spending at least 10% of your time innovating on the latest test tools & techniques
  • Helping to raise, root cause bugs and sharing manual testing duties at times

You will have:

  • Advanced knowledge in either C# and/or NodeJs 
  • Advanced API testing experience
  • Experience with version control tooling and CI/CD 
  • Knowledge of good software engineering design patterns & OOP principles
  • Innovated and introduced the latest technologies in a commercial environment many times
  • Ability to build test automation frameworks from scratch 
  • Interest/experience in building a variety of quality software
