Resource Manager within Reed Professional Services
Based in our London Office
Salary is competitive – Plus bonus
Full Time, Permanent
position (Monday – Friday)

The role of our Resource Manager within Reed Professional Services is to manage a small team of Resource Manager experts and to deliver consultancy, recruitment, and relationship management support to the RPS Delivery function. You’ll need to be able to ensure that resource requirements are fully understood and defined, that the Talent Delivery Team are briefed, so that high-quality and best fit resources are engaged successfully into Reed Professional Services.

Our ideal candidate will be required to provide leadership, team management and workload planning, as well as development for the team including development and mentoring for junior team members, who may be permanent and seconded staff. The Resource Manager is a key point of escalation and resolution for consultant issues, whether it is contractual, commercial or HR related. You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring the ongoing fit, personal wellbeing, and overall performance of consultants on engagements.

Who are we looking for?

We’d love it if you has experience of associate/candidate attraction and retention, good interview techniques including competency and enquiry-based methods, excellent written and verbal communication, with good attention to detail and negotiation skills as well as, management of performance objectives.

Skills required:

  • The successful candidate would have a significant background and track-record in recruitment delivery/resourcing.
  • Tangible experience of the complexities of working on a client-site as either a third-party, consultancy or in an RPO-arrangement.
  • Ability to harness and develop strategic relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to Resource Manager Team.
  • Contractual/Commercial knowledge around key associate queries – Off payroll working etc.
  • Proactive approach to a range of enquiries.
  • A natural ability to network and build strong, long lasting relationships.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to workload management, planning and risk mitigation.

A working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint would be expected.
