Product Manager

An exciting opportunity to lead Reed Specialist Recruitments (RSR) product planning and product marketing across all of our customer-facing products and services. You will develop and execute the product roadmap as agreed with the Marketing and IT directors. This will include managing the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritising customer requirements and defining the product vision working closely with key stakeholders in particular IT to deliver successful products for Reed’s customers.

The role will be split between working in our brand new offices in Brackmills, Northampton and working from home. 


You will oversee the development, management (working with internal and external partners) and maintenance of RSR’s online portfolio of websites (e.g. careers, RTS) ensuring a consistent quality of build and improved customer journeys and experience on our websites.

In addition, you will oversee a small but well focussed product team, developing a winning mentality who are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to improve our products and services.

As the Product Manager you will work closely with stakeholders across the Reed group from IT, marketing, operations, Reed online and the group customer team to ensure successful deliver of the product roadmap and ongoing customer satisfaction.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute the annual product strategy and roadmap, regularly updating on progress to stakeholders
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans (internal and external) for new products working collaboratively with the marketing team
  • Utilise (and commission) insight from customer behaviour and feedback, market and competitor research to aid the development of products
  • Develop ongoing structured, best practice customer feedback loops working with the group customer team e.g. NPS, customer panels, Hotjar
  • Own the online portfolio for all RSR businesses – ensuring best practice websites, suppliers and maintenance are adhered to. Whilst also exploring efficiencies to aid better customer experiences and ROI opportunities.
  • Establish strategies for product pricing and positioning – develop and enhance pricing tools (e.g. temp calculator) for consultants
  • Update on product performance with quarterly roadmap updates to SLT. Develop (working with finance) and distribute product reporting dashboards
  • Manage a small product team, rolling out best practice development and training both with internal and external partners (e.g. product school)
  • Develop product expertise, keeping on the pulse of product developments and opportunities, working with the Reed online product team and following relevant product and recruitment industry bodies
