Permanents Recruitment Consultant

  • Salary £19,000 – £29,000 per annum + uncapped commission 
  • Location – Glasgow with flexible working between home and office 
  • Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for a Permanent Recruitment Consultant to join our Financial Services division to recruit Mortgage roles. The Financial Services team sits in our Glasgow office, with flexible working between home and office. We recruit for roles across Scotland from here therefore, we have a greater scope of vacancies we can work on so you will learn more, meet with more clients and candidates and this means you will become the best recruiter you can be. It’s a busy, fast paced and competitive environment but we make it as fun as possible! Most of our Managers started as Consultants and worked their way up so you couldn’t find a better way to start your REED career.

The role is a fast paced environment and will require excellent organisation skills and professionalism. This 360 role includes both the sales and service aspects and some duties include:

  • Identifying, generating and maintaining a pipeline of business within your market
  • Building strong lasting relationships with candidates, clients and colleagues
  • Negotiating with clients
  • Resourcing for job vacancies
  • Meeting with candidates and clients daily, face to face and via MS Teams
  • Writing job specifications and advertising vacancies 
  • Maintaining a high quality database which allows you to quickly and actively seek out business
  • Spotting opportunities for short, medium and long term wins

To succeed in recruitment you certainly need sales ability, tenacity, a strong work ethic and the drive to succeed. You should be able to deliver professional and credible verbal and written communication to both candidates and clients. It is a rewarding and fast paced environment, you need to be driven to consistently exceed KPI targets.
