Accounts Payable Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant 

Contract: Full Time Permanent

Salary: £21,000-£22,000 per annum

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday 

Location: Northampton, Brackmills (please note that we offer the ability to work between home and the office throughout the week)

We are looking for a Accounts Payable Assistant to join the Accounts Payable team. You’ll perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of Accounts Payable and Limited Company transactions for Reed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coding and processing Suppliers, Landlords, Managed Agency Suppliers and Intercompany invoices accurately and within specified payment terms
  • Auditing Co-member expenses within Reed’s policy guidelines
  • Creating and processing Supplier, Managed Agency, Expenses, Property and Executive payments
  • Checking and adding invoices to our PO system
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Checking and processing voucher requests
  • Accurately downloading, entering, coding and paying Limited Company Self-Bill invoices, expenses, bonus payments, adjustments and other manual payments
  • Checking Limited Company documentation to ensure adherence to compliance requirements
  • Creating new supplier records in Oracle and other in-house systems for Limited Companies
  • Creating, reconciling and processing weekly payments of Self-Bill invoices and manual invoices for Limited Companies
  • Conducting quarterly due diligence reviews on Limited Companies
  • Reviewing IR35 decisions from clients and querying/updating records accordingly
  • Checking company bank details supplied match the name of the accounts online
  • Conducting weekly checks on new and updated bank account details in Oracle
  • Dealing with telephone and email queries in a timely and professional manner

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working in an Accounts Payable Team (desirable)
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Able to produce accurate and timely information
  • Good communication skills
  • Good understanding of Oracle Financials (desirable)
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge and skills (desirable)
