Reed Turns 60…

Reed was founded on 7th May 1960, a 26 year old Alec Reed open the first office located on Kingsley Rd, Hounslow (West London). In the early 1960s Reed pioneered specialist recruitment services; a move which fundamentally changed the UK recruitment market.

Reed has grown organically through great service and ideas to become the biggest family run recruitment business in the world.

Today we help over 18m people find jobs through reed.co.uk and we also do so much more… from facilitating national recruitment drives and staff banks to providing community health and wellbeing services.

Today as the business recognises 60 years in the industry, we may not be able to party together, but the sense of achievement and pride of our Co-Members can be felt across social media…
