Reed Specialist Recruitment has been recognised once again for the rewards on offer to its Co-Members (specifically apprentices), winning the award for Most Motivational Benefits at the 2019 Employee Benefits Awards.

As explained on the awards website, the Most Motivational Benefits award,

“…celebrates the most effective motivation or incentive strategy implemented by an employer, with a clear impact on employee engagement and potential links to productivity.”

Awards on table at high achievers

The award panel recognised the ongoing commitment to incentivising and reward success for all Co-Members at REED, particularly noting the company’s efforts to combat one of the recruitment industry’s biggest challenges of staff turnover; specifically citing employee benefits such as long-service awards, cash incentives and peer recognition.

Apprenticeship Benefits

The award win however was directly related to the complementary rewards and support provided to Co-Members enrolled on the REED Apprenticeship Programme.

The panel recognised the importance and effectiveness that Reed Specialist Recruitment had placed on structured progression, financial incentives and other rewards for apprentices starting out their career in Recruitment, and the tangible impact these have had on retention and learning goal completion.

In an internal communications message to all Co-Members, used to announce the award win and thank the combined efforts of the Reward, Apprenticeship, and Learning & Development teams, Chief HR Officer, Ian Nicholas had this to say…

“Since launching the Apprenticeship Programme in April 2018 (and long before, for that matter), we have worked tirelessly to ensure that new consultants in RSR have the best start possible; giving them the opportunity to be more successful at REED than anywhere else.

“Amongst other things, it is our commitment to Learning and Development, from the first day at REED, which we believe makes us special and sets us apart from our competitors.”

Prepared for Take-Off…

The Employee Benefits Award panel noted the annual celebration for apprentices completing their qualifications to be a particularly good addition to the apprenticeship benefits as it encompassed “public recognition with further learning opportunities.”

The event, aptly named Recruitment Take Off!, involved a full day of motivational training sessions, coupled with an award ceremony hosted by CEO, James Reed.
